easy software Receives IDW PS 880 Certification for the Cloud-Native easy archive

Essen, March 11, 2026 – easy software AG has successfully obtained IDW PS 880 certification for the cloud-native easy archive within easy dm. The audit was conducted by PKF Fasselt Partnerschaft mbB and confirms that the service’s accounting-related functions meet the highest standards of compliance, traceability, and security.

The certification is based on the IDW PS 880 auditing standard as well as the supplementary IDW RS FAIT 5 standard for outsourced accounting-related processes and cloud computing scenarios. It confirms that the cloud-native archive ensures audit-proof, audit-compliant, and legally compliant processing and storage of documents within the cloud system.

As a central component of the easy dm platform, the certified easy archive offers companies a scalable and highly available archiving solution in the cloud. Furthermore, the platform enables flexible deployment scenarios—such as working in parallel with existing archives. This allows companies to continue searching their existing archives while simultaneously storing new documents in the cloud-native archiving service. This facilitates the transition to the cloud and supports phased migration paths without disruptions to daily operations.

Furthermore, easy dm customers benefit from continuous platform development. New functions and improvements are delivered on an ongoing basis—including AI-based features such as generic document extraction, AI-assisted search, and integration with the easy MCP Server. This gives companies continuous access to modern technologies that simplify, accelerate, and make their processes smarter.

Additional functions, such as hybrid connectivity via the Hybrid Connector, expand the platform’s capabilities and seamlessly link existing enterprise systems with the cloud. Companies thus benefit from a modern architecture that efficiently connects local IT systems and cloud-based services and continues existing processes without media breaks.

“The IDW PS 880 certification of our cloud-native archive service is a significant milestone for easy dm and underscores the importance we place on quality, security, and transparency,” says Andreas Zipser, CEO of easy software AG.

“With easy dm, we are creating a modern platform that not only opens up a secure and audit-proof path to the cloud for companies but also continuously offers them new possibilities—from flexible hybrid scenarios to AI-powered features such as intelligent document extraction, smart search, or our MCP Server. Our customers benefit from a platform that grows with them and reliably brings innovation into their everyday operations.”

Certification is increasingly becoming an important quality feature in the market. It builds trust in audited financial statements, reduces risks associated with outsourced archiving processes, and facilitates collaboration with auditors. With this successful audit, easy software underscores that cloud-native technologies and the highest compliance standards are perfectly compatible.

Interested parties can receive the complete audit report, including the certificate, upon request. The report is provided by PKF Fasselt Partnerschaft mbB as an independent auditor.

S/4HANA migrations usually don’t fail because of SAP itself, but because companies carry their outdated legacy logic, unclean data, and decades‑old processes unfiltered into the future instead of using the transformation as an opportunity for a true fresh start.
