On 6 March 2020, EASY SOFTWARE celebrates its thirtieth anniversary. During the past decades, the company has developed into a market leader in the national industry. EASY SOFTWARE was founded in Düsseldorf on 6 March 1990 under the name EASY (Elektronische Archivsysteme GmbH). The following year, EASY relocated its headquarters to Mülheim an der Ruhr, Germany, and started internal development of EASY ARCHIVE. This cornerstone of the company’s history has continually established itself as a groundbreaking archive system in the European market, and is still successful today. In 1996, EASY began developing its first SAP interface; in 1998, the first international partnership with Microsoft followed. 1998 is also the year of conversion from a GmbH (limited liability company) to a stock corporation – with a subsequent step to the stock exchange in the following year. Previously, 90 percent of the employees bought shares in their company, thus demonstrating their confidence in EASY.
Since the 1990s, not only the product portfolio but also the international presence of EASY has expanded. The beginning of the 21st century saw the birth of EASY SOFTWARE GmbH Austria and EASY SOFTWARE (UK) PLC. Since the establishment of additional subsidiaries in North America and Asia in 2007, EASY SOFTWARE products and services are used around the world to this day.
EASY SOFTWARE is proud of its global partner network and its reputation for competence in digital business process solutions. During the company’s thirty-year history, its product portfolio has evolved with the times: EASY started with local server-based computer programs, has increasingly developed mobile enterprise applications over the past decade, and is now moving into the cloud.
