Change Management: EASY FIT successfully concluded
EASY began the EASY FIT transformation program in 2014 with the goal of optimally supporting our customers and partners with better products and more efficient processes and structures. Along with the improvement of work processes, the program primarily included a future-oriented, long-term change in the thinking and company culture within the EASY Group. Three years after launch, the outcome is clear: EASY FIT finished not just according to plan, but above all successfully.
In sum, EASY tied together an extensive package of measures with change management procedures for the Sales, New Products, and Partner Portfolio departments as well as process improvements. The most visible measure for customers was probably the reorientation of the product landscape. EASY broke new ground with the development of today’s well-established modular designed product and service suites, and tackled the subject of Cloud integration, another first-class business enabler.
Optimized structures and processes
At the same time, EASY reorganized the company, improved structures and established clear competences. EASY SOFTWARE AG is now focused on the provision of products, standardized solutions and services – and thus on everything that partners and the EASY national subsidiaries need to take care of customers in an optimal, future-proof fashion. EASY’s customer offers follow the guideline “supplement, not substitute.” EASY offers partners and national subsidiaries suitable products and services for the automation of content-oriented processes.
EASY SOFTWARE Deutschland GmbH and the EASY subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Austria and Turkey are responsible for consulting and providing solutions locally. As a subsidiary of EASY SOFTWARE AG, EASY Enterprise Services GmbH has developed as planned into a successful engine for products in the SPIRIT Suite.
On our way to becoming a solutions provider
In addition, EASY is gradually retiring a variety of old IT systems in-house, replacing a heterogeneous application landscape with an agile IT architecture which relies on its own Cloud solutions as well as SAP and MS Office from the Cloud. In short, EASY is simplifying internal processes with the goal of even more strongly effecting the transformation from a technology supplier or infrastructure provider to a solution provider. Thus, EASY is setting a good example while heading into the Cloud – while customers and partners will benefit.
Strengthened networks, qualified employees
The targeted acquisition of know-how and market power was also part of EASY FIT. For example, the acquisition of the Enterprise Content business division of Schleupen AG strengthened the partner network and onsite customer care, and EASY was able to acquire and retain over 60 partners.
With all of these changes, the employees deserved special attention. Bringing them along on the road of transformation was one of the most important tasks. EASY mastered it – not least with the help of an attractive company culture and targeted qualification. There is no question that EASY has gained in attractiveness as an employer. In times when skilled personnel, especially in the IT field, are courted by any means possible, the company has been able to gain many highly qualified people. In 2017 alone, just under 20 new colleagues were added to the team for providing solutions.
Agile content marketing
Finally, EASY is also breaking new ground in marketing. One of the most important goals is honing the brand identity and demonstrating a consistent and agile presence, especially in digital channels. However, the new content marketing strategy is also about winning over additional customer groups for EASY. In view of changed customer behavior – offers should always be findable and available, while on the other hand the attention span is highly contested – what matters is offering customized, relevant and incisive content in the places where customers get their information. Because what is true for many other companies is also true for EASY: this method of addressing customers and interested parties offers major opportunities for remaining successful in the market.
