More than just a substitute: EASY WORLD, the annual event all around digitalization, replaced the established presence format during the pandemic with a 100% digital approach. This digital format included more than 60 live sessions with presentations by experts from the digital economy. On the day of the event, these live streams counted more than 3,600 individual participations by registered visitors.
Not only participants from German-speaking regions responded positively to the digital format; international guests also took the opportunity to participate in the digital event without having to travel there and without having to pay travel costs. In addition to the speaker sessions, virtual booths and various entertainment offerings allowed interactivity and exchange from a distance.
EASY WORLD 2020 proves that digitalization offers more to professional events than just an alternative in an emergency. The digital format has the potential to complement classic face-to-face events in the future. Easy access from the comfort of the own desk or sofa will increase the number of people who can reach digital events even after COVID-19.
