Mülheim, 22 March 2020.
As already announced via an ad-hoc dated 20 March 2020, the Supervisory Board of EASY SOFTWARE AG (ISIN: DE000A2YN991, WKN A2YN99) has dismissed Dieter Weißhaar as Member of the Management Board with immediate effect. “Due to the meanwhile completed analysis of the results of a comprehensive compliance audit, this step was without alternative,” emphasizes Stefan ten Doornkaat, whom the Supervisory Board elected as Chairman at its meeting last Friday. Stefan ten Doornkaat had previously been Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board and had commissioned a team of external specialists on behalf of the Supervisory Board for the compliance investigation into possible breaches of duty by Dieter Weißhaar.
Independent Member of the Supervisory Board with extensive industry expertise
The Supervisory Board again has a quorum since 20 March 2020 after the Duisburg Regional Court appointed Mr. Serkan Katilmis to the Supervisory Board. With the appointment of the independent candidate, the court followed the company’s application of 12 February 2020. The 44-year-old MBA graduate of Duke University in North Carolina with a degree in business informatics is a distinguished independent industry expert. He is a successful entrepreneur and previously held management positions at Accenture and PriceWaterhouseCoopers, among others. There, he most recently established and managed the program and portfolio consulting unit for Germany. “We are pleased to have won Serkan Katilmis as an independent member of the Supervisory Board, who brings with him extensive industry expertise. As an IT and transformation expert, entrepreneur and management consultant to leading international corporations for complex digitization projects, he has fulfilled our requirements for the vacant position on the Supervisory Board in an ideal way,” emphasizes Stefan ten Doornkaat.
