What’s a hackathon? Taking a closer look at its composition reveals that this word is a neologism, a combination of “hack” and “marathon”. Developers are more frequently taking part in such hackathons because the event series, lasting several days, impresses with its collaborative and creative development of different software products. Time is always limited. Participants are involved in a three-day project – in different groups.

“It’s in your hands”

We like this concept, and because at EASY we like trying something new, this gave rise to the SPIRIT hackathon. “It’s in your hands” is the slogan, which you’ll have to take literally during these three days of the event. Because we offer a select group of participants the opportunity to meet and get to know better our SPIRIT platform at the SPIRIT Developer Days 2017.

Presentations? Live demos? Nope.

At this special event, we deliberately choose not to provide presentations or live demos. This event focuses on your own development of apps based on SPIRIT 2Design – truly a hands-on experience. Participants will get additional inspiration from breakout sessions. After intensive collaboration in groups, we will summarize the results in a “final presentation”. To conclude this event, our participants will be offered an entertaining evening program.

We, the EASY staff, are looking forward to the premiere of our SPIRIT Developer Days 2017 event series. More information on this and our first EASY SPIRIT hackathon will soon be available here.
