EASY Software UK partner, FIS Information Systems, has today announced that Eisai – one of the world’s top 25 pharmaceutical organisations by revenue –  has gone live with  a shared service centre at its European headquarters in Hatfield, Hertfordshire (UK) underpinned by FIS edc™

Eisai discovers and creates pharmaceutical innovations for the human healthcare market. The site at Hatfield invests heavily in research and clinical trials and creates formulations to treat conditions as diverse as Alzheimer’s disease, stomach ulcers, epilepsy, breast cancer and chronic pain.

The FIS / edc solution was implemented with assistance from FIS – partner – Easy Software, who also provide the scanning, image capture and document archive components of the solution. The FIS / edc solution has functionality to compare data from a supplier invoices with data within SAP – highlighting deviations and discrepancies. Processing exceptions via an FIS workflow tool using SAP’s WebDynpro technology has ensured that invoice payment targets can be met and measured.

Phillip Barge, Project Leader for Eisai Pharmaceuticals – “We were very happy with the support and commitment from FIS and in particular, Michal Pawelec, who was very responsive having extensive SAP knowledge and experience. We went live in April 2014 with a ‘big-bang approach’ across all of our European regions and the initial feedback has been generally positive and enthusiastic”.
